Summary
Join us for a magical and unique retreat in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, in which we will tune into nature with the help of the mineral kingdom. The area around where we live is known locally as a place where the 'veils are thin', and the peak opposite us is known as 'Ben Shian' (which translates as 'the fairy hill'). You will be going on walks and hikes in the surrounding forests and hills as well as visiting places nearby, including a very ancient tree, a prehistoric stone circle, and natural waterfalls. You will also be spending time tuning in to the different trees, plants, and flowers in different locations.
You'll also learn which crystals can help open your senses more to nature and help tune you into the Elemental Kingdoms (the intelligences behind nature), and about the different qualities of each of these crystals, and put this into practice in our time outside. You will also learn about and work with the Bach Flower Remedies, which all derive from nature, and experience how these can help support you in life.
The retreat program includes periods of free time to explore the beautiful mountains and lochs surrounding us. There are lots of forest walks and hikes to take from our Centre. We also have our own waterfall a few minutes walk up the hill behind Creagan House.

Food
All food is vegetarian and home-cooked. We usually provide breakfast, lunch, dinner and teas, coffees and snacks (biscuits/fruit) during the day. However, please note, on two days of the Communicating with Nature for Healing retreat we will be on outings, so do not provide lunch on these days, but we will be visiting a cafe or diner whilst we are out where you will be able to buy your own lunch instead.
We can cater for the following diets (just let us know on booking): Dairy free, gluten free, sugar conscious, vegan and vegetarian.
Because we are a small retreat centre, the same dishes are cooked for everyone, so we are not able to cook individual meals and to specifics beyond the above. Please do check below therefore that these meals are suitable for you and if you have any questions over whether we will be able to cater for you, please get in touch with us prior to booking.
Where possible produce is locally sourced, some is home grown (depending on the season) and where possible organic.
Lunch is usually home made soup and we have a main meal in the evening.

Reviews of Creagan House Communiating with Nature Retreats
Choral and Brenda
I needed shelter for a while away from everyday pressures. I think this retreat chose me. It was very peaceful in such a beautiful part of this country and it allowed me to disconnect from the outside world for a bit. I also thought that having just five fellow retreaters was the perfect number, allowing us all to achieve a closeness and trust that might not have been possible in a bigger group. An awe-inspiring experience. Beautiful people and a beautiful place. Sense of peace and rejuvenation on returning. Would highly recommend to all future travellers seeking refuge from this mad world for a short while. Rob and Milan, the retreat hosts, were exceptional and welcomed us all like we were all lost family. The food was amazing, and nothing was any trouble, so well done, and a big thank you to you both. Darren I was looking for a getaway from daily demands/people/work. It offered what was needed, a detox from everyday life. It offered pure relaxation/tranquility and great food. The landscapes, being in nature was the we liked the most. Accomplishment of a calming nature was achieved and soul fed, bringing us back to serenity and balance. A great place to clear the mind and bring some stability back to oneself. |

Wonderful facilitators, and a retreat I would highly recommend to anyone! I was looking for a short break close to home and this was just a quick train journey away. Plus, there was no yoga, which was not on my agenda at this time. Everything was included, so I did not have to plan meals or connecting travel. I loved that it gave a sense of nurturing and connection. This was evident from the first message to Rob, which was engaging and friendly. I loved gathering in the mornings in the gorgeous baronial space and learning new things. There was a gentle, relaxed pace, and everyone fit around each other. The food was lovely, too. I met some lovely people and got to feel looked after for a few days. There were also some fabulous trips out to local sites which I would not normally have considered. The retreat was in a beautiful setting, and Robert and Milan were so welcoming and caring. I have travelled alot, and I don't think I have ever stayed in a place so clean or comfortable. Rob is approachable and full of wisdom, and Milan is tremendous fun. He is not the type to suffer fools, which makes him even more fabulous and authentic. I have the utmost respect for these two caring and wise people. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. |
