Crystals with a Clearing Energy

Not all crystals with a clearing energy are the same. Some are gentler, some are good for all round general clearing, and some are harsher for more intense work. Some work better on the denser parts of the energy field, some are okay everywhere, and some are only suitable for the finer layers. This is because every crystal has its own frequency and will work witihn a certain spectrum of vibration.All white crystals will have a clearing energy. Snowy Quartz is the mid-range all round cleanser - which is why I refer to it a lot in this article. This is because most of the stuff we need to clear is in the emotional and lower mental layers of our energy field e.g. our commonplace thoughts and emotions.
Amethyst - This crystal, along with its many other qualities, has a deep cleansing energy (the violet flame). It can be used to clear anywhere in the energy field, but is particulrly suitable for the outer spiritual layers and the crown and brow chakras.
Apophyllite - This clear/white crystal can be used almost anywhere in the energy field to clear blockages. It has more to it than Snowy Quartz, is more intense and works well at clearing higher out in the energy field. Larger clusters can also be used to keep energetic spaces clear.
Aquamarine - This crystal has a refreshing, cleansing and uplifting energy. It is finer in vibration than Snowy Quartz, and can be used anywhere in the energy field. It resonates most with the throat chakra.
Blue Lace Agate - This corresponds very well to the throat chakra also, and is effective to help clear issues to do with communication. As well as having a gentler clearing energy, it is also very calming.
Botswana Agate - This layered crystal can hellp clear old stuck patterns if placed on the base and sacral chakra for this purpose. It works very well for clearing when teamed with Snowy Quartz.
Clear Quartz - Although this does have a clearing quality, it is very potent, and not normally used for this purporse, as it is also energising and may intensify issues. However, it is sometimes used if there are blockages that won't shift in the energy field. It is no good to use on someone fragile or who is hyperactive in any way.
Howlite - this white crystal is a more gentle clearer of the energy field. Please note, this mineral is very porous, so is often dyed other colours, none of which are natural.
Kyanite - A blade of blur Kyanite can be used to clear to a profound level, the causal layers of the energy field, where our blueprint is stored. It can also be used on the throat chakra.
Moonstone - this has a gentler , softer, more flowing, and deeper energy than Snowy Quartz and can be used anywhere in the energy field. It resonates most with the throat, sacral and brow chakras.
Rose Quartz - This crystal can help clear emotional issues and hurts. It corresponds very well to the heart chakra, but can be used throughout the energy field too. It's potency is often underestimated, as it may create a 'healing crisis' when used, where people may become tearful as they release blocked emotional issues.
Selenite/Satin spar - Selenite is only used to clear the higher spiritual and subtler layers of the energy field. It's not used on the lower chakras or lower layers of the energy field. Satin Spar is very similar to Selenite, and is the fibrous and opaque form.
Smokey Quartz - This is a very powerful crystal, that, if paler, can be used to clear negativity on the lower chakras and lower levels of the energy field. It may bring up issues such as phobias and fears so needs to be used with care.
Snowy Quartz - Also called Milky Quartz. This is the general all round cleanser of the energy field. It works best as a clearer on the lower three layers of the energy field best - the etheric (closest to the physical), emotional and lower mental layers.
Topaz - The clear and the blue variety can work as an 'abrasive' cleanser and are suitable when there is heavier negativity to clear away. They are no good to use on someone fragile. I often view it as the bleach of the mineral kingdom! It works best on higher levels of the energy field.. It can go on many of the chakras, and resonates most with the throat chakra, but you would not use it on the heart or the brow centre as its too strong for them. Blue Topaz can often be unnaturally irradiated to bring out the colour.
White Calcite - this is a gentle clearer of the energy field, and suitable when someone has a very fragile energy field.
