Healing the Vibration of Dis-ease by Rob Burlinson
Take a moment to read the following list. Be aware what is happening to you and how each word affects you:
Guilt, Shame, Envy, Regret, Despair, Hopelessness, Fear, Contempt, Disgust, Worry
Now take a deep cleansing breath, and read the next list, again bringing awareness to what is happening within and how you feel with each word:
Love, Compassion, Freedom, Forgiveness, Generosity, Kindness, Hope, Peace, Joy
I’m guessing you felt a difference. Each word represents a feeling or quality that vibrates at a frequency. The first list consists of lower vibrational words, the second list of higher vibrational words. It is of course much more pleasant to be in higher vibrations and not so nice to be in lower ones. What this means is we are literally in control of our own destiny (and health and happiness) simply by focussing on a particular frequency.
When in London, I often picked up the free papers and was aware afterwards I would feel ‘grubby’ and ‘a bit sick’, as if I’d eaten bad junk food. The papers were literally lowering my vibration. This made me wonder what else we’re exposed to in daily life that does this, such as watching a ‘soap’ or surfing the net. You may yourself have noticed after reading something or watching television you can be left feeling unsettled or even ‘guilty’. In the West at least, there seems to be a bias towards emphasising ‘negative’ vibrations in the media (though there is a newspaper called ‘Positive News’ that attempts to remind us of uplifting and life-affirming events in the world).
If you’re not sure how something is affecting you energetically, there’s an obvious way to discover this which is ‘how do you feel afterwards?’. This can be complicated though, as we have our ‘shadow’. We may watch someone give a rousing speech and feel terrible and think it lowered our vibration. But if we examine ourselves we may realise we had actually been experiencing the lower vibrations of ‘envy’ or ‘jealousy’. Perhaps we need to begin making uplifting speeches ourselves!
Raising our vibration is also not about ignoring atrocities happening around us in the world, but holding onto and coming from the higher vibrations whilst attempting to help bring light to the lower ones. It’s important to raise ourselves out of the collective ‘fear’ and focus on manifesting a more light filled world of greater compassion, understanding and kindness. We then add energy to help co-create this state in the world, rather than aiding the manifestation of the lower pattern. It’s good to remember we always have full power and responsibility over our own vibration, which we can alter at any moment. It’s not the external situation that matters, but our feelings, which we have the key to transform, thereby helping to lift the vibration for all. Working on our own issues over something that is happening ‘out there’ puts us in a much more powerful position to effect change. This means, as always, clearing out our own vibrational cupboards!
To internalise a dense vibration for long enough can unbalance our energy field, and also potentially, the cells of our body. This is why it’s so important if there are ‘lower’ frequency feelings within us, such as fear, envy or shame, we heal and release them, no matter what the story behind them. They may also be in our subconscious (did any word on the lists at the beginning bother you more?). We believe we are fine but the energy field and the physical body still retain the imprint of a distortion, such as unprocessed feelings towards parents or siblings. Or maybe there was a shock to the system through an event long ago never fully dealt with (Star of Bethlehem may be useful here). It’s also worth remembering anger is not a negative feeling but an emotion. Burying it can make us ill whereas expressing it can unblock, as with tears. Trapped feelings can cause illness because they are literally out of alignment with who we truly are. We also have to take into account karma and our souls path. Sometimes with illness there may be a bigger picture of which our ego is not aware. However, we can always ask for a miracle and for transformation.
On a collective scale the internalisation of certain vibrations also applies to groups that are the target of prejudice and persecution. For example, they could be made to feel they have less worth than other human beings or that there is something ‘shameful’ or ‘disgusting’ about them. If enough people of a time believe this, this may be damaging to the individuals of the group, unless they truly understand this is merely a projection upon them. I’ve often wondered if this lowering of a groups vibration has manifested in history as atrocities being perpetrated against them or illness within a group. As an example, AIDS began in the early 1980s. As well as gay people it was also found amongst drug users and African-Americans. Interestingly all three were stigmatised against, or made to feel shame in some way for who they were. If a group in society has enough negativity thrown at them, and they begin to resonate with these lower feelings, could this then ‘birth’ something? Possibly if they are feeling something that has not been felt before to such an extent this could create something of a very dense vibration; an illness manifesting from a collective negative projection internalised to the detriment of cells and organs. In homeopathy there is the notion of ‘susceptibility’. If an outbreak of a virus or disease occurs, certain individuals get sick whilst others remain untouched. Is this to do with ‘like attracting like’? If we have the same vibration inside us that the illness resonates at are we more susceptible to it or are we indeed unwittingly helping to manifest it? As human beings we largely co-create our reality. However, it’s very important to bear in mind the reverse too. We can also vibrate compassion, understanding and joy to affect the whole positively.
Miasms are the lower vibrational legacy of root races that lived on the earth previously. My understanding is they have to do with the ‘shadier’ areas into which these races had ventured, creating distortions of who we truly are, and thus manifesting new vibrations of sickness such as cancer or TB. Perhaps these illnesses are the physical manifestation of difficult feelings, which we now take for granted as part of being human, but which had hitherto not existed, such as shame, guilt, or contempt. It could be said however, that maybe this is all to do with a greater plan/experiment of the soul’s journey to truly know it is light, through experiencing its relative polarity whilst ‘down here’. Or perhaps the plan went wrong?
Dense patterns could partly exists because people are still re-enacting them out. We are stuck in the grooves of long ago vibrations which then strengthen their hold over us collectively. To release ourselves we need to return to the higher vibrational words and feelings, flooding our energy field with a finer energy to transform the lower stuff. We have to enter into this with all our being and not just ‘paper over’ our ‘shady’ bits or keep parts of ourselves locked away (damaging ‘secrets’). We can’t just ‘think’ away a different vibration, we have to feel it and be it, bringing to light anything that still resonates with an old lower vibration, transmuting it and living the new higher pattern accordingly. This means working with our unconscious as well as conscious self. We may have created a faulty belief we outgrew long ago, which is still lodged somewhere energetically, such as ‘I’m not good enough’. We may then perceive something happening to us because it’s coming from the ‘outside world’ when in fact it’s a mirror from within; the outside merely reflecting back to us our inner feelings and beliefs.
Everything is vibration. In order to heal ourselves we could visit somewhere of a higher vibration, do a course that raises our vibration, be in nature, or aware of the food we eat (a processed burger full of fear will have a different vibration to organic vegetables). Being in higher vibrations can ‘clear our head’, giving us space to see ourselves more clearly and what we need to transmute within ourselves. This is very important because living within ‘denser’ vibrations can prevent us from having easier access to higher awareness.
Ultimately it should be empowering to know we help create our reality through our vibration/feelings as whatever we have created, we can just as easily uncreate. Miracles can happen overnight, we just have to do a bit of work to get them to manifest. Luckily at FSEM, we have the awareness of so many powerful energetic means to help us do this.
