Peanut Wood
Peanut Wood is a type of Australian petrified wood. It is usually brown or black in color. It's named after the white to cream markings on its surface, which are roughly the same shape and size as peanuts. It's formed when a type of shellfish make little holes within the wood which are then filled with light colour sediments. Over millions of years the wood becomes petrifed, turning into Quartz crystal.
Weight: 4.5 to 5 grms approx each stone. Size Small. 20 to 25 mms
Energetic Properties A gentle grounding stone. It also has a transformative energy so can help with change. It has a slightly stiller, finer and smoother energy than normal Petrified Wood.
Vibration and Harmony It relates to nature and the plant kingdoms, and harmonises well with many of the green crystals - which also relate to nature. Also works well with Amber for someone felling more fragile.
Where to use in the Energy field At the feet for earthing, or on the base chakra. It may be used higher up if very light in colour.
Storing with other crystals - Peanut wood, being quartz, is 7 on the Mohs scale, so fine to carry or put with your other quartz crystals as they won't scratch each other.
Cleansing - Peanut Wood is fine in all methods of cleansing e.g. under running water, in sunlight.
Other cleansing techniques safe for all crystals are using sage or sound to cleanse.
Whenever cleansing a crystal the key is to use your intention for the crystals to be cleansed by the process as you are doing it - as energy follows thought.
